 MLTSSL List Overview

The Medium and Long-Term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL) comprises 212 ANZSCO occupations, as established by the Department of Home Affairs (DHA). The allocation of these occupations is based on labour market advice from the Department of Jobs and Small Business. The skilled occupations lists are designed to ensure that the entry of skilled foreign workers into Australia is carefully calibrated to align with the country’s needs.

ANZSCO Skill Level Definitions

The Australian Qualification Framework (AQF) defines ANZSCO Skilled Levels based on educational degrees, formal training, and relevant work experience. The following definitions set the boundaries between ANZSCO skill levels.

Level 1: Bachelor/Master/PhD
Level 2: Diploma/Advance Diploma/Associate Degree
Level 3: Certificate III/IV
Level 4: Certificate II/III
Level 5: Certificate I
